You
in your small corner of the world, and I in mine, can both realize at the
same moment in time, the invisible and inspired and constant Presence of
Him who is always at hand and never far away from any child of His.

Prepare
There is always
power at our disposal to take possession of what God has given to us. When
the Captain and Master of our salvation is enthroned in our hearts, all
that has been promised to us by Him will be experienced, it will all come
to pass, even by the most humble of His saints.
I believe that
most believers can bear testimony with what the scriptures testify in Joshua
23 verse 14. Not one thing has failed. All has come to pass and there is
still more to come in the future.
"And, behold,
this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts
and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things
which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto
you, and not one thing hath failed thereof."
Joshua
23:14 KJV
When the Lord
walked the earth and was physically with us, we saw His glory just as the
apostle John describes it in the first chapter of his book.
"And the Word
was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory
as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
John
1:14 KJV
However because
of His possession of a human body, Jesus could not be in two places at
the same time at any given moment.
He was always
working and preparing the way for the Kingdom of God. If the Lord was in
Jerusalem, He could not be in Capernaum at the same time.
Unfortunately,
like the rest of the humans around Him, He had to move from one place to
another the same way all humans did at the time of His physical visitation.
Nevertheless He was always seen busy about His Father's business.
Here on the
earth, the Lord prepared the way for us to get to the Father, He made it
very clear that He was the only way to the Father.
"Jesus saith
unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me."
John
14: 6 KJV
He prepared
the way for us by allowing us to see His glory, letting us know that He
is the way, truth and the life and by dying for our sins. He was preparing
our eternal salvation.
The Lord did
very little sitting down while here on the earth, He went about doing good
from town to town healing the sick, giving sight to the blind and raising
the dead. He was always working and preparing the way for us.
Once we are
told that He was so weary from His travels that He sat down by a well,
but even then He never stopped working and preparing the way for all of
us.
He prophesied
to a Samaritan woman and announced to her that He was the promised Messiah.
Also during
His last days here on earth there was hardly any time to rest either, He
told His disciples. . .
"I
go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there
ye may be also."
John
14:3 KJV
It seems that
our Lord did not waste any precious time when He was with us. Even today
as I read through The Acts of the Holy Spirit Through the Apostles as I
like to call the book, I sense an urgency from the Holy Spirit of God.
An urgency
that existed even then 2000 years ago in the lives of the Lord and His
disciples.
While the Lord
Yeshua is always presented as sitting at the right hand of God, Stephen,
facing the terrible death that he did, looking up to heaven saw not
only the glory of God, but the physical manifestation of His Glory,
Lord "Jesus Christ standing."
Acts
7:55 KJV
As the first
martyr of His church and one that He had bought with His own blood, the
Lord was changing His posture and had risen to greet His servant who was
about to perish. Again preparing the way to receive Stephen to His side,
this has always moved me deep in my spirit.
Pass
Over
Without a doubt,
the first and greatest gift that our risen and ascended Lord gave us when
He Passed Over to His Glory, was the predicted and promised Holy Spirit
(Ruach Ha- Kodesh).
The Holy Spirit
of God came so that the anointing (unction) might become available to all
those who believed. With His Gifts that come with the Holy Spirit of God,
revelation, visions and healings will take place.
Yes the Gifts
will be used for the building up and encouraging of the body of Christ,
or His Church.
But this unction
could not come unless the Lord himself would finish His work here on the
earth and then Pass Over to the other side of eternity and send us the
finished work.
He had told
us that the hour was coming when the true worshipers would be worshiping
the Father in Spirit and Truth.
The apostle
Paul also had made mentioned that those walking in the Spirit would find
life and that those walking in the flesh would find destruction.
The result
of His prepared work here on the earth was that "All Power" was
given to Him in heaven and on earth and therefore we were able to receive
the baptism of the Spirit.
Matthew
28:18-20 KJV
I don't think
that our minds can fully understand the extend of this power. Unless it
was revealed by the Holy Spirit the Ruach Ha Kodesh of God, we would confuse
it with the same type of power the world is seeking their hands on.
But in order
for this Holy Power to be given freely to His church, the Lord had to Pass
Over into the Presence of His Father with a perfect sacrifice.
"Behold,
I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you."
Proverbs
1:23 KJV
"I will
pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:"
Isaiah
44:3 KJV
"And it
shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh;
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream
dreams, your young men shall see visions:"
Joel
2:28 KJV
Possess
On His ascension
to the Father however, the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) ceased to be seen. Now He
became invisible to the human eye and became the universal Christ by the
power of the Holy Spirit.
There is of
course, the promise of His return for His church. "Surely I come quickly.
Amen"
Revelation
22:20 KJV
Something was
happening in the heavenlies when He Passed Over, now He had taken
possession of His new body and was no longer bound to earth.
Now He also
had to take possession of His father's Kingdom and possession of the keys
of hell. . .
"I am He
that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for ever more, Amen;
and have the keys of hell and of death"
Revelations
1:18 KJV
"And I will
give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:"
"and whatsoever
thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou
shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Matthew
16:19 KJV
He possessed
all that was due to Him and was given a name that is above every name.
. .
"That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things
in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians
2:10,11 KJV
He had become
a King, He had Possessed the Kingdom of His Father, "All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth." He declares again in the last chapter
of Matthew.
Now the same
way He has possessed all His Kingship and power, glory and honor, He gives
us the same right as believers to become the sons of God.
"But as
many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name:"
John
1:12 KJV
He is allowing
us to enjoy the same rights and privileges as children of God.
"Posses the
land" says The Lord, "Posses the promises" says the Lord.
Although we
have briefly considered the gifts our exalted Victor made possible for
His church, we must not lose sight of what His ascension meant for Himself.
He is calling
us to posses all of our rights and blessings as a body. He is calling us
to posses everything He fought for and has given to us.
He is calling
His precious saints around the world to unite in prayer. He is calling
His precious saints around the world to unite in intercession for fellow
believers so that whether His saints are in America or Africa, Japan or
Australia, Britain or Cuba, Argentina or Europe, all of them, no matter
where they are, can claim the promises at the same time and posses the
land.
You in your
small corner of the world, and I in mine, can both realize at the same
moment in time, the invisible and inspired and constant Presence of Him
who is always at hand and never far away from any child of His.
For he clearly
declares in His Living Word "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

13:5 KJV
