“Make an Ark of
acacia wood—a sacred chest 3¾ feet long, 2¼ feet wide, and
2¼ feet high. Overlay it inside and outside with pure gold, and
put a molding of gold all around it."
Exodus 25:10-22
The closer we get
to the Tribulation period, the closer we are to the imminent Rapture of
the Church, which, I strongly believe the Hebrew as well as the Christian
Scriptures teach.
This next Great and Major
event, will precede the Tribulation.
There
isn't anything written in the Holy writings of the Hebrew scribes that
will give us the slightest reference to the Ark of the Covenant after the
Jewish people returned to the promised land from Babylon where they were
in captivity for hundreds of years.
During this period of the
sixth century B.C, the inhabitans of Judah, the southern Kingdom, were
exiled in Babylonia, now Iraq as captives of the wicked King Nebuchadnezzar.
However if you want access
to more information regarding the Ark of the Covenant, plenty can be found
on the subject in the Apocrypha books.
The Apocrypha books state
that the Ark of the Covenant was nowhere in site at the time when Ezra
and Zechariah the prophets were alive. This is the time when the Jewish
people rebuilt the Temple.
The Ark of the Covenant vanished
off the sacred pages of the Hebrew history but never off the hearts and
minds of the Jewish people.
By
the time the Babylonians took the Jewish people captives, precious items
like the Ark of the Covenant and the "lamp" or the "Menorah,"
had been precociously removed from the temple by the high priests of Israel.
They looked ahead in time
and foresaw danger.
The ark of the covenant was
the most important piece of furniture in the wilderness tabernacle. The
tabernacle built in the desert, on the way to the promised land was the
tent or meeting place between God and man. The Lord told Moses to build
it in.
